Résidence Koaee

The residence

Résidence Koaee is a fictional residence, imagined to show what a care home can do with a well-behaved chatbot. It starts from a simple idea: choosing a home for a loved one is hard enough — the information, at least, should be simple.

A home on a human scale

Eighty-four places, including a fourteen-place protected living unit and a day care service. Four worlds cover the life of the house: accommodation and daily life, care and support, activities and social life, families and practical services. For every service, what is included and what is à la carte is written in black and white.

An AI advisor, not a switchboard

The home's real difference is its advisor. Available at any hour in the corner of the screen, she answers the questions families ask themselves at 11pm: rates and APA, admission, daily life, visits. She explains without jargon, in your language — and the team takes over whenever you wish. For any medical question, the care team remains the contact.

Simple commitments

Family visits free from 11:00 to 20:00 every day, guided tour within seventy-two hours, admission answer within one week, social life council at least three times a year and a family app to keep the bond: the commitments are written down, and the advisor repeats them on request. No asterisks, no surprises.

Regulatory framework

What the rules say — sources attached

Residence contract, APA, social life council, rights of the person in care: here are the national rules that govern life in a care home, as published by the official sources. Each fact links to its source, with its verification date.

Residence contract
The residence contract is compulsory as soon as the accommodation may last more than 2 months. It specifies the care objectives, the conditions of stay, the financial contribution for each service and the annual evolution of the rates. A 15-day withdrawal period follows the signature of the contract or the admission, allowing withdrawal without notice.

APA (personalised autonomy allowance)
The APA is an allowance paid by the department to people aged 60 or over with a loss of autonomy, classified in GIR 1 to 4 according to the Aggir scale and residing in France. The application is made to the department's services, online or via a form depending on the region.

Social life council

Rights of the person in care
Upon entry, the establishment gives each resident a welcome booklet to which are annexed the charter of rights and freedoms of the person in care and the establishment's operating rules. The charter must also be displayed on the premises.
